This 1936 brochure from the Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company features Patton’s Sun-Proof Paint, an exterior oil-based paint formulated to withstand sunlight and weather. The 24 colors reflect the 1930s exterior palette, which favored muted but durable tones suitable for wood, siding, and trim. Typical shades included deep greens, warm browns, brick reds, soft yellows, and grays, providing period-accurate, weather-resistant finishes.

Originally formulated in gloss, these colors are now offered in satin or semi-gloss.
