Common Questions
How do your samples differ from traditional paint store samples?
Our samples stand out from traditional paint store samples by providing custom 4-ounce squeeze bottles of historically accurate colors, sufficient for covering at least eight square feet with two coats. Unlike major retailers offering wasteful quart or 8-ounce samples in lower-grade satin finishes, we provide a range of sheen options (semi-gloss, flat, etc.) and premium-quality paint tailored for historic home projects. Formulated by Pittsburgh and Glidden Paints, our samples are durable, weather-resistant, and fade-resistant for both interior and exterior applications. This process, available nationwide, can take up to two weeks to facilitate. After a client receives and confirms their initial color match (or multiple matches, if ordered), they can opt, for an additional fee, to have 1-ounce color examples shipped to their preferred paint establishment, such as a Pittsburgh Paints or Glidden Paints account executive, anywhere in the United States, streamlining the process without the need to visit a representative.
